Elbphilharmonie – monumental 3d scan

This astonishing 3D model was created by Richtig-Druck. The Elbphilharmonie is Hamburg’s newest sight and completion is within reach. The public can enter the opera house in the first quarter of 2017. After 10 years of construction and one billion US Dollar, Hamburg and its citizens are euphoric to see this great monument to be finalized.

RichtigDruck can create 3D-scans of constructions within a couple of days. This technology allows fast and inexpensive 3D-models of buildings. Any textures and renderings can be projected onto the model, even parts of the building can be remodelled as demanded.

This 3D-scan project was the successor of the trial run in November 2015, when we scanned a country house in northern Germany. This job required different emerging technologies like drones, photogrammetry software and small high resolution cameras. As you can see in the picture below, there are major improvements in model design.
